The season finale of CSI is going to rock!

On Thursday, CBS has announced that English rock band Black Sabbath lead by vocalist Ozzy Osbourne will make a rare television appearance on the veteran procedural to perform a new single.

On the episode slated to air on Wednesday, May 15th — the CSI team investigates a trail of murders with horrifying similarities to the sins in “Dante’s Inferno,” the band will share a scene with D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) when he and Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann) attend a Black Sabbath show. The appearance will mark the band’s world premiere of the song “End of the Beginning” from their much-anticipated new album 13, due out June 11 on Vertigo/Republic. This marks Black Sabbath’s return to Vertigo, their original label, and the group’s first studio album together since 1978’s Never Say Die!
