Remember back when we were worried that Cougar Town wouldn't live to see a season 3? Well, grab your Big Joes Big Carls Big Lous and fill 'em up because TBS has just given the Cul-de-Sac Crew another season.

TBS has renewed its hit original comedy Cougar Town, produced by ABC Studios and starring Courteney Cox, Christa Miller, Busy Philipps, Dan Byrd, Ian Gomez, Josh Hopkins and Brian Van Holt. The network has ordered 13 episodes for season five, which is expected to launch in 2014. Cougar Town joined the TBS lineup in January for the show’s fourth season. It currently airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), with the season finale slated for April 9.

“Cougar Town has been everything we hoped it would be: a smart, big-hearted, laugh-out-loud comedy that shines a bright light on the TBS brand,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “This season, the brilliant cast and immensely creative production team on Cougar Town have crafted their best episodes yet, and we couldn’t be happier inviting them back for more.”

A show like Cougar Town definitely seems like a better fit for a smaller cable network like TBS versus the broadcast world of ABC, don't you think? There are a lot of mixed opinions about the renewal, are you excited to see the show sticking around for another season?
