Catch the Cul-de-Sac Crew as Cameos on Other Fall Shows!

We're sure getting lonely over here, waiting for the yet-to-be-renamed Cougar Town to return for its third season sometime this winter. Oh, Big Carl....

But it's looking like we won't be completely alone Cougar Town-wise this fall. Showrunner Bill Lawrence has plans for the cast to each have a small guest stint on various other series this fall as a promotional tactic (and Bill's not limiting it to just their home network of ABC, either). Says Bill Lawrence:

"We decided it might be funny to say our cast is going to be on in the fall more than any other cast."

A brilliant idea if ever there was one. Even title actress Courteney Cox (Jules Cobb) seems to think so.

"I thought it was hysterical. Bill and the writers have always been great about figuring out ways to keep people aware of our show even when we're not on TV."

Be sure to catch all your favorite characters from the Cul-de-Sac Crew on these following TV series this fall (some episodes and dates are TBA and will be posted once known):

  • Ian Gomez (Andy Torres) as a background doctor in tonight's Grey's Anatomy (ABC, 9 ET/PT).
  • Courteney Cox (Jules Cobb) and Christa Miller (Ellie Torres) as a lesbian couple at a fertility clinic on tonight's Private Practice (ABC, 10 ET/PT).
  • Brian Van Holt (Bobby Cobb) on ABC's new comedy, Man Up (premiering Tuesday, October 18).

Other possible shows slated for Cougar Town cast appearances are ABC's Body of Proof, Castle, Dancing with the Stars, The Middle; CBS' How I Met Your Mother; NBC's Parenthood; CBS' 2 Broke Girls; and Nick Jr.'s Yo Gabba Gabba (now this one could be interesting...).

But Busy Philipps (Laurie) has yet to find a show home! What series do you think she would do well with for her own guest appearance? Hit the comments and discuss!
