'Community' Season 4 Premiere First Look Spoilers: A Hunger Games Tribute

In the Season 4 premiere of Community, we will be treated to a "tribute" to The Hunger Games. Here are some first look photos and spoilers from Jeff Winger himself, Joel McHale.

These photos show oh-so-Community action from the October 19 premiere. And one look tells you the show probably (hopefully) has not changed much since the firing of Dan Harmon. Joel McHale joked:

“Fans will see these pictures and go, ‘Dammit, they’ve tried to make this show mainstream! They’re trying to steal the Two and a Half Men audience!.’ They’re going to be like, ‘What — is this an episode of The Middle?'"

The plot sounds as weird and wonderful as we expect from our favorite students:

"When the Greendale student records seem to be lost, the Dean (Jim Rash) stages a Hunger Games-like competition to determine enrollment in a class called The History of Ice Cream."

Don't we love that they have a class on the history of ice cream?!?!

Jeff will compete in the games and even tango with the Dean, who dons multiple dresses in the episode. McHale noted, “He will repulse and arouse you all at once. Mostly repulse.”

And McHale offered one more spoiler about another part of the premiere: “It is an homage to something that kids in the late ’80s and early ’90s watched on Saturday mornings.” Any guesses?

Look for more spoilers as we get closer to the October 19 season premiere!
