The episode count for the first season of Marvel's Cloak & Dagger is finally revealed.
According to a report from MIP TV, the upcoming superhero series received a 10-episode order on Freeform.
In addition, Disney’s SVP and general manager of Disney Media Distribution, EMEA Mark Endemano, also offered a tease on what to expect from the project during a pre-screening event. He said:
Cloak & Dagger is about character and emotion above all. It tells of a romance between Tandy and Tyrone in a way that we haven’t really seen before in a Marvel TV series.
So think Romeo and Juliet though I can tell you that they won’t be dying at the end of the first episode!
“Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” is a coming-of-age series based on the beloved comic characters. Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph,) come from starkly different backgrounds, each growing up with a secret they never dared share with another soul.
The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Joe Pokaski (“Underground,” “Heroes”) will serve as showrunner and executive producer; Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Luke Cage,” “Marvel’s Iron Fist”), Marvel’s head of Television, and Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Luke Cage,” “Marvel’s Iron Fist”) will also serve as executive producers. Gina Prince-Bythewood (“Love & Basketball”) is set to direct the first episode.
