Will we see Dawson reuniting with Casey anytime soon on Chicago Fire?
Her portrayer, Monica Raymund, has addressed this burning question in a recent interview with TV Guide. While the door remains open for her return, the actress said that she has "no idea" whether she'll reprise the character of Dawson in the near future.
"Honestly, I don't know! If I just can't bear it and must go back to the show, I know the door remains open and I'm grateful for that," she said.
"But girl, I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna do tomorrow so I have no idea whether or not I'm going to return to the show. That is up for debate but I am very humbled that the door remains open."
Dawson's ex, Casey, for his part is now ready to move on -- according to his portrayer, Jesse Spencer.
"The reality of actually being physically close to another person is just automatically weird. It's very strange. And he doesn't wanna rush into things but he wants to move on. I don't think we'll see him settle down anytime soon," Spencer told TV Guide.
"That doesn't mean his relationship with Naomi won't continue. He doesn't wanna just jump back into another relationship straight away."
And finally, expect to see trouble abound on Kidd and Severide's orbit this season. As teased by exec producer Derek Haas, Severide “doesn’t handle things falling apart around him well” and usually “ends up wrecking things."
“It was hinted at [in the last episode], and you’ll see more of it in the finale. He’s not very good at expressing his feelings.”
