CBS Fall 2012-2013 Schedule Breakdown: The Mentalist Moved to Sundays, Picked-up 6 New Series

On May 16, CBS shakes things up with some re-shuffling on its network schedule this fall. ‘The Mentalist’ which formerly aired every Thursday, steps three-days forward on Sundays after ‘The Good Wife’. ‘Two and a Half Men’ is also shifting slot from Mondays to Thursdays following the network’s no.1 comedy, ‘The Big Bang Theory’. The incoming sophomore comedy ‘Two Broke Girls’ however sticks to its Monday schedule but was moved 30-minutes later on the 9pm slot.

The big surprise of CBS this year is dominated by the Tuesday schedule. Instead of going head-to-head against the big guys’ (ABC, FOX and NBC) string of comedy shows every Tuesdays, the network was happy to insert a lineup of drama and action — CBS top-rated NCIS, along with NCIS L.A. and Vegas, are the ones to be played against the stack of happy-hour among the three networks.

The schedule of CBS for 2012-2013 also welcomed 6 newly picked-up series, with 4 dramas and 2 new comedies. Sherlock Holmes-centric “Elementary,” “Vegas” with Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis, legal drama “Made in Jersey” and cop drama “Golden Boy”. The latter includes “Partners,” a bromantic comedy, and L.A.-set “Friend Me.”

Here’s the complete schedule for CBS 2012-2013, new shows are in CAPS. Feel free to pick your favorites this early!
