The CW may have another smash hit on their hands with their new mid-season drama staring AnnaSophia Robb (Soul Surfer) as Carrie Bradshaw in, The Carrie Diaries. This Sex In The City prequel will be chronicling the life of a young Carrie Bradshaw that has her eyes set for New York City. Manhatann will bring her young soul excitement, love and opportunity. Sex In The City's own Amy B. Harris, wrote and produced the pilot based on the novels, “The Carrie Diaries” and “Summer and the City”, by Candace Bushnell. Austin Butler, best known for Switched at Birth and Life Unexpected has been cast as Sebastian Kydd, Ellen Wong of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Combat Hospital will play Mouse.
Katie Findlay (The Killing, SGU Stargate Universe) stars as Maggie Landers, Stefania Owen (Running Wilde, The Lovely Bones) as Dorrit Bradshaw, Brendan Dooling (An Elf’s Story: The Elf on the Shelf) as Walt Reynolds, Chloe Bridges (90210) as Donna LaDonna, Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who, Law & Order: UK) as Larissa Loughton and Matt Letscher (Brothers & Sisters, Entourage) as Tom Bradshaw also star.
