Bones creator Hart Hanson recently discussed a curtailed season 7 of the Fox hit and what to do about star, Emily Deschanel's real life pregnancy. She is due in late Summer/Early Fall and Hanson is ready to accommodate Deschanel's pregnancy anyway he must to ensure a successful season 7 of Bones. Here's what he had to say, courtesy of TV Line:
“Season 7 would probably be a curtailed season in some respects; we don’t know how much yet. I’m ready to pitch a bunch of alternatives to the network, but we haven’t had those conversations yet” due to renewal talks, Hanson says. “We’ve had creative conversations about how to get out of Season 6, but we haven’t had any… about how to get into Season 7. For example, if we were to do four episodes without her, is the network interested? Or does their testing show that that would hurt the show?” Hanson poses. “I need to be ready for any one of those contingencies.”
No worries though Bones fans, I feel certain a pick up from Fox will be announced soon. The show previous two~year renewal was handed in just before the network's annual upfront presentation to advertisers. Hanson promises that,
“Anywhere between now and May 15 we will come to a deal and I’m very confident that we will come to a deal.”
