Blindspot Season 3 Spoilers: Zapata Joined the CIA, Shepherd Won't Return, & Roman Love Interest

Blindspot Season 3 Spoilers: Zapata Joined the CIA, Shepherd Won't Return, & Roman Love Interest

If you're wondering what Zapata has been up to in the last two years, EP Martin Gero breaks it down:

Zapata has been increasingly frustrated with how the FBI did business in the back half of the second season and so, for us, it made a lot of sense for her to just try something new and so she went over and started working with the CIA and this year. The FBI and the CIA will work together much closer. It’s not going to be as contentious as a relationship as it was in the first two seasons. They will be working in consort with each other.

Not to mention, Roman might be getting a love interest. No Tomorrow's Tori Anderson has booked a recurring role as "Blake, a charming socialite that Roman strikes up a friendship with, but his motives may be more complicated than we first believe."

Martin Gero says, "Blake is an incredibly smart and charming business woman and sparks fly when she meets Roman for the first time..." Take that however you may.

Meanwhile, Michelle Hurd who is known for her portrayal of Shepherd, will not be returning to the series. Gero explains that there is no plans to bring the character back. Sorry guys!
