NBC has pulled the plug on the freshman sitcom, Animal Practice. On its most recent episode airing, the series fail to impress the network with only 3.8 million viewers with a rating of 1.0 in the adult demo. This marked the series as the lowest-rated broadcast show in the hour. Although officially cancelled, we can still see more of Animal Practice until its eight episode. (3 more episodes to air)

However, to replace its Wednesday night 8pm timeslot starting Nov. 14th is another comedy from the network — Whitney, which returns for a second season.
