ABC's Split-Season Schedule for 'Scandal', 'OUAT', 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Nashville' & 'Revenge'

ONCE UPON A TIME - ABC's

ABC's top-tier primetime dramas will run on a split-season path this year. ABC president Paul Lee has announced the new development during the TCA Summer Press Tour.

We learned from TV Line that when fall programming begins, the network will serve up each batch on a relatively uniterrupted schedule. In other words, no breaks or 2-week hiatus of some sort within the first and second part. Thus, expect for your favorite shows to return in February and March after the winter hiatus.

Here's the new scheduling strategy of ABC for Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Once Upon a Time, Nashville and Revenge:

GREY’S ANATOMY
Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 26, with 12 episodes in a row*
Returns from Winter Hiatus: Feb. 27, with 12 episodes in a row

SCANDAL
Premieres: Thursday, Oct. 3 with 10 episodes in a row*
Returns from Winter Hiatus: Feb. 27, with 12 in a row

ONCE UPON A TIME
Premieres: Sunday, Sept. 29, with 11 in a row* (in large part set in Neverland)
Returns from Winter Hiatus: March 9, with 11 in a row

NASHVILLE
Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 25, with limited repeats and preemption
Returns from Winter Hiatus: Feb. 26, with limited repeats and preemption

REVENGE
Premieres: Sunday, Sept. 29, with limited repeats and preemption
Returns from Winter Hiatus: March 9 (the same night that Resurrection replaces another freshman drama, Betrayal, in the Sundays-at-10 slot)

During midseason, new series Mind Games and Killer Women are in line to replace split-season shows.
