ABC Fall 2012-2013 Schedule Breakdown: 'Revenge' Replaced Desperate Housewives' Exit

Along with revealing the schedule this fall, ABC is also introducing another series of new shows that will knock on our entertainment doors, respectively.

New shows are: “666 Park Avenue,” “The Family Tools,” “How to Live with your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life),” “Last Resort,” “Malibu Country,” “Mistresses,” “Nashville,” “The Neighbors,” “Red Widow” and “Zero Hour.”

The network's glaring decision however, is moving the hit-drama Revenge from Wednesday to Sunday -- replacing Desperate Housewives' season 8 exit.

Moreover, here's a break-down of ABC's schedule this fall on a daily basis.

Firing up the start of the week, ABC decided its best to leave the Monday nights to the dancing babes and gents of the reality show, DWTS at 8pm. Castle follows the 2-hour run at 10pm. The Bachelor, however is set to have a midseason return.

The Tuesday timeslot initiates the dawning of comedy block in ABC. Starting off with Happy Endings paired with Don't Trust The B -- in Apartment 23, airing back-to-back after DWTS results night at 9pm.

However, if talks about the network's competition might interest you, allow me to lay it down for you. Fox' New Girl and The Mindy Project together with NBC's Go On and The New Normal are the ones ABC is highly up against. But treading down the midseason road, more interesting moves from ABC hit us, as another couple of comedic sitcoms, How To Live With Your Parents For the Rest Of Your Life (HTLWYPFTROYL, Sarah Chalke as a divorced woman who moves back in with her parents) and The Family Tools (Kyle Bornheimer as a man who takes over the family handyman business) will be later introduced. All these 2-hour long antics will be followed by Shonda Rhime's Private Practice to cuddle your Tuesday nights.

On ABC's midweek schedule, more comedies will rule your Wednesday evenings with a 90-minute laugh-off with The Middle, Suburgatory and Modern Family all the way until 9pm. Phasing away from the stack of happy-hour, are newly picked-up series, The Neighbors (about a family that moves into a gated community... which is full of aliens disguised as humans!) and Hayden Panettiere's new country-music drama, Nashville.

Thursday! Thursday in ABC is a stroll over Shondaland. The veteran medical series Grey's Anatomy followed by newbie Scandal stays solid together on its Thursday evening slot. But prior to that, Shawn Ryan's new series -- Last Resort (about the crew of a nuclear sub that creates its own nation) was ordered to join forces with Shonda's team at 8pm.

On ABC's Friday lineup, we shall expect some family-thing going on our respective households, for Tim Allen's The Last Man Standing offers just the right touch. Succeeding the 8pm slot brings another comedic vibe of Malibu Country which stars singer Reba McEntire as a spurned country singer who moves to Los Angeles to jumpstart her career.

In the matters of new series Red Widow, Mistresses, and Zero Hour, as well as returning drama Body of Proof, apparently this batch has not given any assigned schedules yet. Guess we'll just have to wait for further announcements. In the meantime, take your time while you peruse over this new ABC fall lineup. Let's hear what you have in mind!
