90210 Spoilers: Rob Estes and Jennie Garth leave 90210!

Spoilers tell us that we’ll have to say goodbye to our beloved principal, Harry Wilson, and guidance counselor, Kelly Taylor, because the two actors are leaving the show! Read on and find out why they’re leaving!

On why Rob Estes is leaving the show…

It seems that his departure can be explained by two reasons: compensation and the show producers’ desires to focus more on the younger 90210 cast. We’ve heard about the latter before: that show runner, Rebecca Kirshner, wanted to give the new show its own identity with little to no help from the original 90210 cast or the older cast members.

No word yet on how they’re going to write him out of the show (or what’s going to happen with Debbie Wilson, played by Lori Loughlin) but a statement from the 90210 rep says that if we keep watching, we’ll “understand why Rob’s character is leaving.”

On why Jennie Garth is leaving…

Her manager thinks that claiming Jennie Garth “quit” the show is an unfair assessment because Jennie Garth was never under contract with the show. He also says that the relationship was fairly casual between the actress and the show runners and that there are no hard feelings.

No word on how she’ll be written out either or whether she’ll be appearing on any of the remaining episodes when it comes back in March. I personally think she might be — a few pictures were posted last year of Jennie Garth filming with Lori Loughlin for an episode that has yet to air.
